After completing his education, Greenblatt delved into the world of social entrepreneurship, co-founding Ethos Water, a bottled water company with a social mission. Ethos Water’s innovative model of donating a portion of its profits to provide clean water to communities in need set a precedent for socially conscious business practices.

However, it was Greenblatt’s transition into the realm of advocacy and public service that truly solidified his role as a transformative figure. In 2009, he joined the Obama administration as Special Assistant to the President and Director of the Office of Social Innovation and Civic Participation. In this capacity, Greenblatt spearheaded initiatives aimed at harnessing the power of innovation and collaboration to address pressing social challenges, ranging from economic inequality to environmental sustainability.


Following his tenure in the White House, Greenblatt assumed the role of CEO of the Anti-Defamation League (ADL), one of the oldest and most prominent civil rights organizations in the United States. Greenblatt’s strategic vision and unwavering commitment to justice have propelled the ADL to the forefront of the fight against discrimination and intolerance.
