Phil Harrison is the general manager and vice president of Google. He used to be the corporate vice president of Microsoft. Phil was a British business executive, a representative director of Sony Computer Entertainment, and Vice President Executive of Sony Computer Entertainment Europe (SCEE).

In September 2005, Sony Computer Entertainment put all of its product development operations in different parts of the world under one global structure called Sony Computer Entertainment Worldwide Studios (SCE WWS). Phil was President of the new organization. He worked closely with the studios of Sony in Japan, Europe, and the United States.
Harrison was in charge of setting the global product strategy and managing the development operations of 13 studios in Japan, the UK (including Evolution Studios), the Netherlands (Guerrilla Games), and the US. On February 25, 2008, Sony said that Harrison would be leaving the company on February 29.

Harrison became a non-executive director of Atari on May 29, 2009. This was after the company changed to a publishing company based in the US and changed its name from Infogrames Entertainment SA to Atari. On April 19, 2010, Atari told the public that Phil Harrison had quit the company’s Board of Directors.
Why did Harrison decide to Join the Microsoft Interactive Entertainment Team?
On May 17, 2010, it was declared that Phil had joined the Gaikai advisory board, which is a cloud gaming service run by David Perry. It was announced on March 13, 2012, that Phil had joined Microsoft’s Interactive Entertainment Team. On April 17, 2015, Microsoft Game Studios said that Phil had left the company.
